Population Ecology vs. Neoinstitutional Theory Essay -- Environment, E

Organization-environment relations depict certain areas of UCSB in their entirety in which two of those theories include state ecology and neoinstitutional theory. Population ecology and neoinstitutional theory looks at UCSB in divergent perspectives creation ecology looks at UCSB as a living or end species whereas neoinstitutional theory highlights UCSBs importance as an establishment to its field of education. With this, I am going to compare both, population ecology and neoinstitutional theory, in relation to the University of calcium Santa Barbara. I will further discuss each of their strengths and weaknesses in accordance to the behavior and environment of institution, faculty, staff, and its students. Within nature, any form of species focus on pickax and adaptation towards their environment to better themselves organizations to utilize this idea as a metaphor to personify the organization-environment theory of population ecology underlining any organization functions as a living or dying species. Primarily, population ecology reflects both a rationalist and naturalist perspectives. Population ecology echoes rationalist theory because situation is frequently controlled by those in superior steads due to their experiences within the organization (Taylor 25). Also, population ecology is natural because it denies specificity and predictability due to the organizations dependence of the version of environmental resources (Sutton 1/20/11). Ultimately for any organization to adapt and change the future of the establishment, it is necessary for workers in a dominant and higher position to ruminate any strategies and environmental opportunities and threats (Hannan 930). Population ecology and neoinstitutional theory are two theories describing and affecting the organisational environment at UCSB from two perspectives the population and institutions as a whole. With population ecology, UCSB faces competition dilemmas to keep their organization from dying and additionally, neoinstitutional theory shows UCSB how to appear legitimate through conforming to societys beliefs and expectations. Although both concepts are vastly differently, they aid UCSB, as well as other organizations, to understanding the lifespan and appearance of its establishment.

It was late afternoon, when I just stepped into the house. The silence had captured the room. I was tired. My body mat up like dead, but my mind was beyond that. A blue, blue frame caught my eyes. The deep blue sank my thoughts deeper and deeper and made them flow away as the waves pushed them more into the magic, no ending space. I was looking at the world itself, and seemed like it was standing at the palm of my hand. Some things seemed awkward while this world was rotating. Lots of mysteries meet my boat, as I was going further in this magnificent journey. Fishes along with other ocean creatures were curios to cheat where this boat was going to bring us all. I was curios too. My curiosity reached to the point, where few houses appeared and beautiful palms seemed to wave at me from far. I left the boat destinationr to the shore and I followed the way that the palms were. The houses were one into another, very close to each other. The streets were narrow and everything seemed e mpty and lifeless. The darkness that surrounded the stake, made it become more mysterious than it was. As I was walking alone and looking at every corner of the place, I sow few old people. My thoughts went deeper than ever. My mind was rangeing me to continue my walk, but my body seemed frightened and frozen. But my curiosity to know that, how this beautiful place had only few people and that they were all old made my body to go on further. It was a very different place from others. I was thinking as I was going through this streets and looking at the houses, to knock in one of them, but my phone went off and my thoughts got stuck in that house. It was a big and very old house. It was my friend who called. I sow myself cutting the conversation with him to go back into the journey and get back my thoughts.I sat back at the same place I was, and the house appeared in front of me. I looked at the house, and its doors and windows and the whole house was trying to tell me something th at I could not understand. In front of the house, was a beautiful girl. One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest is hilarious and truly enjoyable. It deals with several men patients in a psychiatric hospital ward in Oregon. The majority of the play is extremely funny, however, it does have its serious moments. Its themes and ideas are clearly shown, which may help the viewer in relating it to his/her own life. The actors and actresses did a great job depicting their images. One of the main characters was Chief Bromden, played by Cliff Williams. He not only a main character, but withal the narrator of the play. The actor played him very well because the features of the actor were the same as the character in the play. He was tall and dark, resembling an Indian which chief Bromben really was. He is very paranoid as he tells the story of his life and sanity. He is too constantly being bullied by the assistants that work in the ward. They think he is deaf and dumb however, he really is not. Towards the end of the play, he be go downs stronger and is able to ru n from the ward. Another important character is Randle McMurphy, played by Aren Chaisson III. He is loud, obnoxious, rude, and not afraid to tell the entire truth. He also tends to make sexual and contaminating comments to women. Throughout the play he tries to make Nurse Ratched lose her temper. He even has a bet going with the rest of the men in the ward as to when she will lose it. The actor truly portrayed McMurphy well. He was loud and annoying. His appearance also seemed like what McMurphys probably was. The actor also made it clear to the audience that McMurphy is not actually crazy. Stacy Searle played Nurse Ratched, a very stern and army-like nurse. She appears very cold when she comes into the play, however, she softens up when the rest of the patients come out. She is very controlling and demanding. The actress that played her did a very good job. She was stern and mean, with a soft side too. She also physically looked the part. She was big-boned and big-chested. She had many characteristics of soulfulness in the army.The set/setting was all around what I expected. It represented the play very well. Whenever Chief Bromben would speak to himself, the fog would come out with a red light. This showed that he was thinking to himself.
